Rok Construction‘s Robert Matthews have clinched the Hepburns sponsored Industry Achiever of the Year Award at the Jersey Construction Awards that took place at the Hotel De France last month.

On an evening when the very best of Jersey’s construction industry was able to celebrate the sector’s strengths and everyone’s hard work in successfully negotiating the economic downturn, the guests were under no illusions about the importance of self-belief and hard work when they were treated to an incredibly inspiring speech by explorer and adventurer, Miles Hilton-Barber, kindly sponsored by HR Now.

Hosted by Karen Rankine, the 11th annual Construction Awards were a huge success and provided superb examples of the quality and commitment to excellence that run throughout this varied and economically vital industry.

Altogether, eleven awards were presented last night with ROK Construction winning both the much coveted Comprop Business of the Year Award and director, Robert Matthews, winning Hepburns Industry Achiever of the Year Award for providing the stewardship that enabled the firm to grow successfully throughout the recession.
